ICASE works in partnership with the Indiana Department of Education on two programs to expand and enhance the education of Indiana special education administrators.

Aspiring Statewide Special Education Teacher (ASSET)

ASSET is an approved alternative licensure program through the Indiana Department of Education and Indiana State Board of Education. ASSET falls under the Transition to Teaching umbrella, but does not award an initial teaching license. The ICASE sponsored program is for currently licensed Indiana educators to be able to add a special education teaching credential.

Aspiring Special Education Leadership Institute (ASELI)

ASELI is a year-long leadership development program designed to prepare the next generation of special education leaders in Indiana. ASELI brings together those who are committed to advancing into leadership roles and improving outcomes for students with exceptional needs.
