Awards

View past AWARD WINNERS
Recognizing the achievements and professional contributions of its members is an important part of the ICASE mission. Awards are presented to members in the following areas:
Distinguished Service - awarded to members or non-members for exemplary efforts in the field of special education
Meritorious Service - awarded to members or non-members for outstanding service (on ICASE committees, for example)
Honorary Membership - awarded to those who have either retired or otherwise changed positions or who have made outstanding contributions to the field of special education and are granted such status by action of the Executive Committee
Retirement Award - awarded at the discretion of the current members of the Executive Committee
Special Recognition - awarded at the discretion of the current members of the Executive Committee

 

Scholarships

Learn more about the PORTER SCHOLARSHIP
ICASE is proud to award scholarships to students seeking a degree in educational fields that serve students with special needs. Established in 1993 in honor of Rutherford B. Porter, the award is available to both undergraduate and graduate students.
Congratulations to this year's scholarship recipients:
H. Rachel Fender, Indiana University
Major - School Psychology; Minor - Education Leadership (working on a Special Services Director certification)
Audra Erny, Indiana State University
Major - Special Education and Elementary Education
